CentralWorld to Reopen
CentralWorld, the biggest shopping complex in Southeast Asia, razed at the height of red-shirt protest last May is due to reopen on Sept 28 after a major renovation and refurbishing.
"With the refurbishment now nearing completion we anticipate 90% of CentralWorld to reopen to customers by the end of September, and the Zen department store by August next year," said Kobchai Chirathivat, president and CEO of the Central Pattana group which operates the twin properties.
To mark the reopening, the Centara Grand & Bangkok Convention Centre plans to launch special food and beverage promotions, spa packages and discounts on rooms in the last quarter of this year.
