"Kamala Sukosol: To Life" Charity Concert, Nov. 12-14
The Siam City Hotel, Thai Red Cross Society and Singha Corporation Co., Ltd. in conjunction with Bangkok Bank, Siam Commercial Bank, Coke Zero, True visions UBC, The Nation Group, EASY FM 105.5, Praew Magazine and Covermark present "Kamala Sukosol: To Life". The charity concert, in aid of the Thai Red Cross Society's Chulalongkorn Craniofacial Center, will be held on November 12-14, Kamolthip Ballroom, Siam City Hotel, Bangkok.The concert promises to be jam-packed with wonderful entertainment by Kamala Sukosol, president of Siam Hotels & Resorts, and her talented family: daughters, Marisa Sukosol Nunbhakdi and Daranee Sukosol Clapp; granddaughter, Natalia Sukosol Briones; and sons, Kamol (Sukie) Sukosol Clapp and Krissada (Noi) Sukosol Clapp. Joining the Sukosols on stage will be the 20-member Prachin Songpow Big Band Orchestra, under the direction of PitiKayoonpan, and special guests Dolchai Boonyaratavej, Suteesak Pakdeeteva, judge of the popular television talent show The Star, and spectacular dancers from the Aree School of Dance Arts.
The 2009 concert programme will feature a "trendy medley" of tunes: Nobody, Want You to Know Me and Rak Tae Yan Ngai (What is True Love), along with a spectacular presentation of the hit song Jai Ho, from the film "Slumdog Millionaire", complete with hip hop dancers. The Sukosols will also go south of the border with a special Brazilian section, featuring such classics as Wave, Girl from Ipanema and Brazil. Also on the agenda is a breathtaking live rendition of Michael Jackson's Thriller, along with Khun Krissada performing his highly-acclaimed version of Billie Jean. Naturally there will be some "classics" as well: Getting to Know You, LOVE and I Dreamed a Dream from "Les Misérables". Khun Kamala will also present the all-new "bossa nova" version of her hugely successful hit song Live & Learn.
Tickets on Nov 12/14 are Bht 2,500/2,000/1,500/1,000 and Bht 400 for students with I.D. Tickets for the Gala Dinner Performance on Friday, November 13, are Bht 35,000 and 40,000 per table.
