“Let’s Knit for the Needy” Project
The 2008 winter season in Thailand was exceptionally cold and many children in the remote mountain areas of the north suffered. With this in mind, the BNH Hospital in Bangkok launched the "Let's Knit" project to encourage everyone to knit small squares (15 cm x 15 cm) which will be joined together to make warm blankets for donation to the needy before the beginning of the cold weather this winter. The completed blankets will be presented to children living at Umphangwitthayakom School, Tak province, in November 2009.In support of this project staff at the Siam City Hotel will hold a knitting circle on Thursday, 10 September, from 2-4 p.m. All involved are eager to do their part and help make these children feel cared for and more comfortable this winter.
