"Live and Love: A Charity Concert" To raise funds for Somdech Phra Debaratana Building, Faculty of Medicine, Ramathibodi Hospital

On Friday 4th September 2009, 6:30 p.m. at Kamolthip Ballroom, Siam City Hotel

 

The Siam City Hotel, Somdech Phra Debaratana Building, Faculty of Medicine, Ramathibodi Hospital and Sigha Corporation, are jointing organizing a charity gala dinner "Live and Love" for Somdech Phra Debaratana Building on September 4th, 2009. Proceeds from the concert will fund the purchase of much needed medical equipment for the building to be fully functional.

 

The concert features Kamala Sukosol and her talented family members including Marisa Sukosol Nunbhakdi, Noi - Krissada Sukosol Clapp, Daranee Sukosol Clapp and granddaughter Natalia Sukosol Briones. Joining the family are Thailand's vocal stars, Rudklao Amratisha, Dolchai Boonyaratavej, Tanee Poonsuwan and "Jo" Suteesak Pakdeeteva, judge of the popular television talent show, "The Star". "Jo" Suteesak, who is also the head of music department at St. John's College, leads the children of St. John's Choir, in a magical performance of His Majesty King Bhumibol's composition, "Klai Rung", which won the gold medal in the Scenic Folklore category at the 4th World Choir Games 2006 in Xiamen, China. "Jo" Suteesak, a trained ballet dancer, will also join the talented students and instructors of Aree School of Dance Arts in a variety of dances, choreographed by Ajarn Aree Sahavejjabhand, head of the school, one of the best dance schools in the country.

 

Highlighting the concert, is the entertainment variety and the exuberant style and personality of Khun Kamala Sukosol herself. Together with special guests, Kamala and her family will serenade audiences with international hits from Jazz, Bossa Nova, Broadway and Pop, to all-time favourite Thai tunes including Kamala's hit song, "Live and learn".

 

Tax-deductable donations of 100,000 baht or more will receive royal decoration. Donations of 200,000 baht or more will receive mention on a plaque inside the building and hospital patient room and receive Her Majesty Queen Sirikit medallion; and donations of 20,000,000 or more will receive honorable mention plaque in the building's main donor's hall, as well as a H.M. Queen Sirikit medallion.
