Pattaya Classical Guitar Festival  Supports Father Ray Foundation

On Monday, November 7, Mr Holger Groninger, resident manager of the Siam Bayshore Resort & Spa, Mr Leon Koudelak, from the Thailand Guitar Society and Mr Niels Colov, CEO of Pattaya People presented a cheque for Baht 35,000 to the Father Ray Foundation on behalf of the Pattaya Classical Guitar Festival & Competition.

Mr Peter Srivorakul, president of the Father Ray Foundation, accepted the funds on behalf of the children and staff. Set up in 1982 the Father Ray Foundation cares for more than 850 orphan children, street children, blind children and young disabled adults throughout Thailand.

The Pattaya Classical Guitar Festival & Competition 2011 was held at the Siam Bayshore Resort & Spa, Pattaya on Saturday, October 29. The only festival of its kind in Thailand, it showcased many of the world’s top guitar makers and musicians. The festival was open to the public and over a hundred collectors, players, music lovers, makers and students from America, Japan, Germany, Switzerland, Philippines and Thailand attended.
